THE WARMTH OF FALL IN UNIQLO x INES DE LA FRESSANGE
Fall has always been one of my favourite seasons. When leaves turn into rich marrigolds, oranges, and fierce reds. When the weather has a sharp clear crisp to it and it’s time to take out your favourite scarf. When the air somehow has a distinct smell of sweet vanilla and cinnamon… I remember these fond memories while living in New Hampshire, USA. Of course now even though living in Indonesia and without the season of Fall/Autumn, it surely doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the designs of the season itself!
The earth toned corduroy miniskirt and oversized cashmere top that I’m wearing from Uniqlo bursts with a Fall 70’s chic vibe and undoubtedly a refined elegance as well. That’s exactly what French fashion icon, Ines de la Fressange had in mind when designing the new 2016 Fall/Winter collection in her latest collaboration with Uniqlo.
These items in particular are from 1 of 3 stories called La Femme 70’s, which is part of a Ines’ broader theme of movement that combines timeless allure with new Parisian chic styles. This is a collection that clearly demonstrates Ines’ pursuit of authentic high quality clothing that all women can wear comfortably while still making them look confident and beautiful.
What I love about these pieces is that they are staples in your closet, very easy to mix and match, and ones that you will surely take out and wear not only during the season of Fall, but year round. And can we talk about the colours? You know me, I love rich earth tones! The warmth in the colours are great for every skin tone and for me highlights my complexion. I’m happy to say that you can get your hands on the collection at Uniqlo PIK Avenue, Jakarta. For more of the complete collection, click here!
