It’s not very often that our family has the opportunity to gather everyone together for some quality time as we’re based all over Indonesia. This past June, we decided to do just that for our parents’ 29th wedding anniversary! As a gift to them, we flew in our grandmother from Blora, our aunt and cousin from Jogja, and our younger sister from Jakarta so that we could celebrate this special time together! We arranged a super special place to stay during that long weekend and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice!

From the moment we stepped inside our Pawana Villa at The Ungasan Clifftop Resorts, we were transported to a whole other level of luxurious villa living. When we tell you it’s an absolutely STUNNING property, we don’t say it lightly. Villa Pawana is a five-bedroom villa (all king size bedrooms with adjoining ensuites and private garden area), situated on 2,500 spm of beautifully manicured grounds (humongous!!) so it was definitely more than plenty of room for our group of 9 people.

The first thing our eyes were splendidly greeted by was the gorgeous bougainvillea pathway that lead us to 35m of cliff top frontage, the breathtaking infinity swimming pool, and piercing blue ocean views! *jaws drop* Trust me when I say, the million-dollar view was a stunner and took our breaths away all day errday during our 3-night stay. Beside the infinity pool is the cliff top bale that is simply just the coziest thing ever! Leave me there for hours with a book and the ocean breeze and I’m good! Loved having afternoon tea there with the family. So perfect…

At the Ungasan, the experience is all about catering to the guests at the utmost top level of hospitality. Pampering and providing personalized attention to ensure the most relaxing and stress-free time for guests is what you should expect. We were provided with a private butler from 7 AM – 10 PM, car and driver (8 hours a day), and for those with younger children, a nanny is at your assistance! The staff was very professional and their graciousness was very much appreciated.

The property is also part of Sundays Beach Club, which we could even see a bit of from our villa just down below. As in-house guests, we were granted VIP access to the beach club and complimentary water sports. We had the freedom to venture down anytime we wanted to to have lunch or drinks and soak up the sun for a quick afternoon swim and return back up to our villa again for a quiet dinner. Or you could spend a romantic dinner at the beach club, like Elizabeth and I did. Yes, a super romantic dinner for two with the beach waves swaying right in front of you! Hopefully the next time we experience this, it’ll be with our respective significant others! *AMEN*

Another wonderful experience that The Ungasan provides is their In-Villa BBQ dining experience. It’s a must try! We had our super fresh seafood BBQ dinner on our last night to officially commemorate our parents’ anniversary and it was truly something special. It epitomized exactly what that weekend was for – quality time together enjoying each other’s company. A celebration of love and life. We made so many unforgettable memories. Our three night stay was not nearly enough time. Beyond grateful for such a magical escapade!
